Update: The Spectator forced to apologise to Islam Expo

Further to my recent blog a couple of weeks ago noting that the right-wing Spectator news magazine was being sued by Islam Expo in relation to an article they published on their website by Stephen Pollard (the editor of the Jewish Chronicle) in which he had quoted disgusting smears against Islam Expo that had been published on the pro-Israel propaganda site Harry’s Place, the following apology has been published in this week’s edition of the Spectator:

Islam Expo: Apology

28 August 2010

Stephen Pollard and the Spectator apologise for the unintended and false suggestion in a blog published on 15 July 2008 that Islam Expo Limited is a fascist party dedicated to genocide which organised a conference with a racist and genocidal programme. We accept that Islam Expo’s purpose is to provide a neutral and broad-based platform for debate on issues relating to Muslims and Islam.

Well done to Islam Expo for standing up to the Israel lobby.
