Should UK taxpayers be funding the promotion of Zionism in Jewish schools?

The Jewish Chronicle this week carries a story about a letter sent by the Muslim group ENGAGE to the new Secretary of State for Education, Michael Gove MP, asking him about his views on the teaching and promotion of Zionism in state-funded Jewish schools.

The ENGAGE letter points out that last year, when he was in opposition, Gove complained about some Muslim schools teaching about the concept of an Islamic state.

One Response to Should UK taxpayers be funding the promotion of Zionism in Jewish schools?

I am afraid it is unlikely that Mr Gove is unlikely to respond favourably to this complaint. Mr Gove himself is a well known Pro-Zionist and the new coalition government is riddled with those who have no interest in the rights of the Palestinians.
It is well known that young British Jews who have dual Israeli citizenship spend time with the Israeli Defence(sic) Forces often in occupied Palestinian lands – in other words participating in the illegal activities of the IDF. Nothing is done to stop this. However if any British Muslims are found even contemplating joining Hamas – well, we know what the reaction would be!!!
